I welcomed November on the 2nd.

What welcoming November looks like in my head.
As you can see, people weren't quite ready to let go of Halloween by that blow up kitty, top left.
Hi friends.

I don't know what it was about Friday, November 1st. It still felt a little like October; I guess partially because it was a Friday and partially because Halloween fell on a Thursday. What a stinkin bummer! While I did have family and friends over for a small get together, I only had three trick-or-treaters (which.. was sad) and kind of ruined the Halloween I've had pictured in my head all year. But thank God for family, friends and parties, right?

I welcomed November with my mom, sister and my favorite little Lyric by garage selling. Most of my DIY comes from pieces I find at a garage sale, the best ones when I'm with the two of them! Saturday morning was fun. Just time with my three favorite girls, scouting out our small town for some treasure.

The afternoon was less exciting as all I did was clean. Well, clean and watch Ghost Whisperer because it's hands down my favorite show right now (even though it's not even on air) on Netflix. Trey spent the day working.. all day. Which, yes, was a bummer also -- but just goes to show you what a hard working man I married.

And just so you know, I try painting every thing I bring into our little home. I found this fantastic mirror for $20 that Trey and I just painted red. I don't have a picture yet.. but I planned on showing you the process. It was finally hung on our wall Saturday night and I can't thank my sweet husband enough. All day of working and he comes home to help me do all of the rearranging to my hearts content. I love you, babe!

Hope you got a chance to welcome November in some sort of way.
Happy Monday, all!
